Alice, of Anacortes, Washington, is a retired literature professor, who worked at Skagit Valley College for many years. Morgan is a Golden Retriever who was rescued from a shelter, and was trained for a new career helping Alice with her balance and retrieving dropped objects. In 2003, Morgan provided one of the most important tasks a service dog can by retrieving the phone on command when Alice had fallen in her home alone and broken her leg. This wonderful team spends lots of time together, including volunteering in Summit’s reading program at the local schools and library. Morgan was adopted from the Okanagon Animal Shelter and donated by Summit volunteer, Pat Moberly.
