Sandi and Thor
Sandi lives in Oak Harbor, Washington, and is teamed up with Thor, a Golden Retriever who helps Sandi in so many ways. Having Thor by her side has greatly improved Sandi's ability to go out on her own. Because she only has one arm and uses a wheelchair, Sandi used to have to rely on her caregivers if she wanted to go anywhere outside her home. Now, with Thor's company to help open doors, and retrieve any and all dropped objects, Sandi can go shopping, or to appointments whenever she chooses. Thor also helps at home, by turning on and off lights, and even tugging off her clothing and jackets. They make a wonderful team, and you can see how happy they are together. Thor was donated by Chris & Jack Morey of Puyallup, Washington and sponsored by Lin Folsom of Anacortes, Washington. He was raised by Deb & David Hall of Anacortes, Washington.
