Sarah and Luna
Sarah, of Anacortes, Washington has had dogs all her life but when she was partnered with Luna, a sweet Golden Retriever, in 2003, she realized she had a companion that was worth her weight in gold. Her golden girl helps her cope both at home and in public with the depression and anxiety that she faces as a result of her disability. With Luna’s help Sarah is able to go more places, deal with crowds and travel. She helps her get up in the morning and calms her at night so she can go to sleep. Luna was partially donated by Jo Simpson of Valley View Kennel in Snohomish, Washington. She was raised by Sarah.
