Cecily and Tasha
Cecily is a 7-year-old girl from Moscow, Idaho, who needs help with balance. She and her mom, Charlene, are teamed with Tasha, a gentle German Shepherd Dog. Cecily is a tenacious young girl who never says ‘I can’t’. In the last year she has progressed from a walker to canes to assistance from Tasha. She has made tremendous leaps in strength and coordination, and Tasha will be there to aid her through several more years of growth. Shortly after graduation from team training we received a letter from Charlene who wrote that for the first time in her life Cecily will play in the yard on her own because she now has Tasha as a companion and helpmate. Tasha, a career change dog from Guide Dogs for the Blind, was generously donated by her puppy raisers Janine and Jack Prindle of Enumclaw, Washington.
