Marie, now deceased, lived in Vaughn, Washington, with her Summit
service dog Gusto. She had Multiple Sclerosis and diabetes that
made it necessary for one leg to be amputated. She saw Gusto as
a blessing in her life and never failed to talk about how helpful
he was and how he increased her level of independence. After Marie’s
death, Gusto was placed as a companion dog with another woman, and
he loves to go hiking with her.
