Gia, who is deaf, and Torrey live in Bend, Oregon. Torrey provides
many kinds of support for Gia. As a hearing dog, he alerts her
to the phone ringing, alarms going off and people calling her name.
But he also retrieves dropped items and carries a backpack for her,
because she also has symptoms of fibromyalgia and arthritis. Torrey
even goes camping with Gia to alert her to any danger.
