Maggie and Alki, who live on Herron Island, WA formed a working partnership in 2007. Maggie lives with the complications of an inherited syndrome that affect all aspects of her life, including her body temperature and ability to walk. Alki, a beautiful black Labrador Retriever, is always eager to do whatever he can for her. He gets her medications from her husband, helps her up and down the stairs, gets the phone when it rings and helps her take her clothes off. This multi-tasking dog is a wonderful companion as well.
